This iconic Manchester City Kappa kit became etched in club history thanks to one of the most dramatic matches ever played by the team.

In the 1999 Division Two Play-Off Final against Gillingham, City trailed 2–0 with just minutes remaining, staring down the prospect of a second consecutive season in the third tier of English football.

In a moment now legendary among fans, City scored twice in stoppage time to force extra time, defying all odds.

The match eventually went to a penalty shootout, where City completed the incredible comeback and secured promotion back to Division One at the first attempt.
